An aerofoil (British spelling) is basically the same as an airfoil – a shaped surface designed to create lift or downforce when air flows over it. Think of it as a specialized wing shape. Imagine a kite 🪁 or a glider. The aerofoil's shape manipulates airflow. This generates a pressure difference, creating lift (upward force) or downforce. Aerofoils are critical in aircraft, wind turbines, and race cars. They're all about using air to your advantage!
