A beardless iris is a type of iris that lacks the fuzzy "beard" found on the falls (drooping petals) of bearded irises. Think of it as an iris that opted for a clean-shaven look! πͺ Instead of a beard, they might have a crest or a smooth surface. Beardless irises come in various colors and forms. They are often more tolerant of wet conditions than bearded irises. Examples include Japanese irises and Siberian irises. They're the minimalist cousins of the bearded iris, elegant and understated.
