Bobby Fischer (1943-2008) was an American chess grandmaster and the eleventh World Chess Champion. He's considered one of the greatest chess players of all time. Fischer was known for his exceptional talent, innovative strategies, and sometimes controversial behavior. His victory against Boris Spassky in 1972, during the Cold War, was a symbolic triumph for the United States. He was a chess prodigy, like a musical genius who composes symphonies at a young age. Despite his fame, Fischer later withdrew from public life, becoming a recluse.
