A booster station is a facility that increases the pressure or signal strength of a fluid, gas, or electronic signal as it travels through a pipeline or network. Imagine a water tower that adds pressure to keep water flowing uphill; a booster station does a similar job. They're commonly used in pipelines for oil and natural gas, as well as in telecommunications networks. Without these stations, signals would weaken, and fluids would slow down. They ensure efficient and reliable transmission over long distances. Think of them as pit stops for energy.
