Definition
The cairn terrier is a small, hardy working dog originating from Scotland, known for its wiry outer coat and soft undercoat. Bred to hunt vermin in cairns (rock piles), they are fearless and intelligent. Unlike lap dogs, they have a strong prey drive. Think of them as the scrappy, independent adventurers of the dog world ποΈ. They're loyal but also enjoy exploring on their own. Cairn terriers are relatively small and make great family dogs. They do require consistent training, though!
