Camillo Golgi (1843-1926) was an Italian physician and scientist. He is best known for discovering the Golgi apparatus, an organelle in cells. He also developed a staining technique for nerve tissue. ๐ฌ This technique revolutionized the study of the nervous system. He shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1906.
