Carry Nation (1846–1911) was a radical member of the temperance movement, which opposed alcohol consumption. She's famous (or infamous) for attacking saloons with a hatchet! 🪓 She believed that alcohol was the root of many social problems, like poverty and domestic violence. Think of her as a real-life superhero, but instead of fighting villains, she fought booze. Her methods were controversial, but she definitely got people's attention. She was a larger-than-life figure who sparked debate about prohibition. Her actions were driven by a strong moral conviction.
