A centipede is a multi-legged arthropod, known for its many pairs of legs – though not actually one hundred, as the name might suggest! 🐛 They are predators, using venomous claws to subdue their prey. Imagine a speedy, flattened worm with a whole lot of legs, scurrying across your basement floor. Unlike millipedes, which are slower and generally harmless, centipedes can deliver a painful bite. They prefer damp, dark environments, hiding under rocks and logs. Think of them as nature's speedy, multi-legged hunters, a bit like the insect world's version of a ninja.
