A 'clingstone' is a type of fruit, usually a peach, where the flesh stubbornly sticks to the pit. ๐ Imagine trying to separate Velcro that's been stuck for ages; that's a clingstone fruit! They can be a bit messy to eat because you have to work around the pit. Clingstone fruits are often used for canning or preserves where the pit can be removed during processing. They're the slightly more challenging, but still delicious, cousins of freestone fruits. Think of them as the stubborn, but sweet, type of fruit.
