Definition
Clinoril is a brand name for sulindac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to relieve pain, swelling, and stiffness caused by arthritis, tendinitis, and other inflammatory conditions. It works by reducing the production of prostaglandins, substances that contribute to inflammation. Think of it as a firefighter putting out the flames of inflammation in your body. It provides relief from pain without the euphoric effects of opioids.
