The term 'coati-mondi' is sometimes used interchangeably with 'coati,' but it more specifically refers to the white-nosed coati (*Nasua narica*). White-nosed coatis are found in Central America and parts of North America. They are characterized by their white noses and social behavior, living in troops of females and young. Males are typically solitary. Like other coatis, they have long snouts and ringed tails. They are omnivores, eating a variety of foods. They are adaptable animals and can live in different habitats.
