Definition
Conepatus is a genus of skunks, often referred to as hog-nosed skunks. 🐽 They're known for their distinctive pig-like snouts, which they use to root around in the soil for food. These skunks are generally larger than other skunk species. They have a more global distribution, including parts of South America. 🌎 Their spray is just as potent as other skunks. Conepatus skunks are skilled diggers, which helps them find food and create burrows. They are not usually kept as pets.
