Definition
A 'demisemiquaver' is a musical note equal to one thirty-second of a whole note, or half the length of a semiquaver (sixteenth note). It's not very common, but adds a fast feel. Think of it as a super-duper fast note! π In notation, it looks like a filled note head with a stem and three flags. Demisemiquavers are used sparingly, usually in very fast passages or to create a sense of extreme urgency or excitement. They represent some of the shortest note values commonly encountered in music.
