Definition
Entoderm is an older term, now largely synonymous with endoderm, referring to the innermost of the three primary germ layers. Think of it as the 'insides' of the developing organism. It's responsible for forming the epithelial linings of the digestive tract, respiratory system, and associated organs. These organs include the liver, pancreas, and thyroid. Itβs responsible for absorption, secretion, and digestion. Like the inner workings of a factory, this layer manages the internal processes. βοΈ
