A "feeler" is a general term for a sensory appendage used by animals to explore their environment through touch. It's often used interchangeably with "antenna", though it can describe other tactile organs. Think of feelers as nature's probing hands. Unlike sight or hearing, feelers provide information through direct contact. Insects, crustaceans, and other invertebrates commonly use feelers. These appendages help them navigate, find food, and sense danger.
