Definition
The "gray sea eagle" is another term used to describe the white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla). Like the term 'grey sea eagle', the description refers to the overall impression, even though the eagles aren't uniformly gray. These birds are often seen near coastal regions, lakes, and large rivers. They have a diverse diet, consuming fish, birds, and even small mammals. Restoration programs have helped these bird populations rebound.
