Definition
A 'half nelson' is a wrestling hold where only one arm is used to apply pressure to the back of the opponent's neck. The wrestler hooks one arm under the opponent's armpit and places their hand on the back of the opponent's neck, pushing downwards. It's a common and versatile wrestling move. Think of it as a less intense version of the full nelson. Unlike a full nelson, the half nelson allows for more flexibility and quicker transitions to other moves. It is often used as a setup for more advanced techniques.
