Herman Hollerith (1860–1929) was an American statistician and inventor who developed a mechanical tabulator based on punched cards to rapidly process large amounts of data. Think of him as an early data wizard, making sense of massive information before computers existed. His invention revolutionized data processing and paved the way for modern computing.
