Definition
A hominoid is any member of the primate superfamily Hominoidea, including all apes and humans. They lack tails and generally have a more complex brain than other primates. Think of them as the brainy bunch of the primate family. Hominoids display diverse behaviors and inhabit various environments. They are the focus of much research into human evolution. Hominoids are the evolutionary cousins of humans. Like the smart kids in class, they are innovative problem-solvers.
