Definition
A "house husband" (or "stay-at-home dad") is a man who primarily manages the household and takes care of the children, while his partner works outside the home. This role challenges traditional gender norms where the man is typically the primary breadwinner. The house husband might handle cooking, cleaning, childcare, and other domestic responsibilities. It's a shift towards a more egalitarian division of labor within a relationship. Unlike a housekeeper, the house husband is a partner in the relationship, not an employee. The arrangement reflects a conscious decision about work-life balance and family priorities.
