Definition
An ideologue is a person who is strongly committed to a particular ideology, often to the point of being dogmatic or inflexible. They rigidly adhere to a set of beliefs and are often unwilling to consider alternative viewpoints. Think of an ideologue as someone who's "all in" on their ideas, even if those ideas don't quite match reality. The term often carries a negative connotation, implying a lack of open-mindedness. Unlike someone who simply holds beliefs, an ideologue fiercely defends and promotes their system of thought.
