Definition
Lagomorpha is an order of mammals that includes rabbits, hares, and pikas. These animals are characterized by their two pairs of upper incisors (unlike rodents, which have only one), a short, fluffy tail, and powerful hind legs adapted for hopping. They are herbivores, feeding primarily on grasses and other plants. Think of them as the ultimate hoppers and gnawers. They can be found in a variety of habitats, from deserts to forests.
