A lift pump is a type of pump designed to move fluids from a lower level to a higher one. It overcomes gravity, which is always pulling things down. Imagine trying to suck water up a straw, but the straw is super long and far awayβthe lift pump does that for you. These pumps are used in wells, basements, and other places where liquids need to be moved upwards. They're essential for getting water where it needs to go. Without them, we'd be carrying buckets all day!
