Lingcod (*Ophiodon elongatus*) is a predatory fish found in the North Pacific Ocean. Despite its name, it's not actually a cod! It belongs to the family Ophiodontidae. Lingcod have large mouths filled with sharp teeth and come in a variety of colors. Think of them as the 'chameleons' of the sea floor, blending into their surroundings. They are bottom-dwelling fish known for their voracious appetite. They are popular in sport fishing and as a food source.
