Definition
A menorah is a multi-branched candelabrum, traditionally used in Jewish worship. It's one of the oldest symbols of Judaism. π The most famous menorah is the seven-branched one that was used in the ancient Temple in Jerusalem. Today, a nine-branched menorah, called a Hanukkah menorah or Hanukkiah, is used to celebrate the holiday of Hanukkah. Each night of Hanukkah, another candle is lit until all nine are burning brightly. The menorah symbolizes light, wisdom, and divine presence.
