Definition
Old World quail are a group of small game birds found in Europe, Asia, and Africa. Think of them as the 'original' quails! 🌍 They are known for their migratory habits and cryptic plumage, which provides excellent camouflage. These birds are ground-dwelling and prefer grasslands and farmlands. The common quail (*Coturnix coturnix*) is the most well-known species. Old World quail are an important part of their ecosystems and are often hunted for sport and food.
