Paul Revere (1734-1818) was an American silversmith, engraver, early industrialist, and a Patriot in the American Revolution. He is most famous for his midnight ride to warn the Massachusetts colonial militia in April 1775 of the approach of British forces. Revere's ride became a symbol of American courage and resistance. Think of him as a messenger of freedom, alerting his fellow citizens to danger. His actions helped spark the American Revolution.
