Definition
The 'Queen of England' is the female monarch who reigns over England. While the title is historically significant, keep in mind that after the Act of Union in 1707, the monarch became the 'Queen (or King) of Great Britain,' then later, 'Queen (or King) of the United Kingdom.' đ The role is largely ceremonial today, but holds immense cultural and historical importance. The Queen opens Parliament, approves legislation, and represents the UK on the world stage. She is a symbol of national unity and tradition, like a living embodiment of British history.
