Definition
Radial asymmetry is when an organism appears to have radial symmetry, but displays some features that break the pattern. It means that while the basic structure radiates from a central point, there are variations or irregularities in the arrangement of parts. Some jellyfish or sea anemones might show this. Think of a flower with a missing petal 🌸, or a pizza with one slice cut larger than the others. It combines elements of radial symmetry with deviations.
