The *Rana goliath*, also known as the goliath frog, is the world's largest frog species. Native to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, it can grow over a foot long and weigh over 7 pounds! 😮 These frogs live near fast-flowing rivers in rainforests, making them difficult to study. Unlike most frogs, the tadpoles of goliath frogs are similar in size to other frog tadpoles, with the adults experiencing incredible growth. Their diet consists of insects, smaller frogs, and even small mammals. Sadly, they are threatened due to habitat loss and hunting. Imagine a frog bigger than your head—that's a goliath frog!
