Definition
A "scoundrel" is a dishonest or unscrupulous person, often charming or roguish. They might not be outright evil like a villain, but they are definitely not trustworthy. Think of someone who cons people out of money with a smile. A scoundrel often operates on the fringes of society, bending the rules to their advantage. Their actions are driven by self-interest, even at the expense of others. While irritating, a scoundrel might not be pure evil.
