Definition
A "shedder" is something or someone that releases or casts off a covering, substance, or part. Think of your dog shedding fur all over the couch; it's a prime example! 🐶 It can apply to animals shedding their skin or hair, plants dropping leaves, or even a company shedding employees. Shedding is often a natural process of renewal or adaptation. Unlike something breaking or being forcibly removed, shedding is a more gentle, gradual release. For example, snakes are known to be shedders.
