Definition
A sidelight is a light, often vertical and narrow, placed on either side of a door or window. It's like a frame of light adding elegance and brightness. Sidelights allow extra natural light to enter a room while also enhancing the aesthetic appeal of an entryway. They are often made of glass, sometimes decorative. Unlike a full window, a sidelight is more of an accent. It's a subtle way to brighten up a space.
