Definition
A spinning jenny is an early multiple-spindle spinning machine. Invented during the Industrial Revolution, it allowed a person to spin many threads at once. It drastically increased the production of yarn and cloth. Think of it as the OG multi-tasker of textile machines. Before, people could only spin one thread at a time. Now imagine doing, like, a dozen at once. 𧡠It was a game-changer, but it did replace some jobs too.
