Definition
Suspicion is a feeling or thought that someone might be guilty of wrongdoing or that something is wrong, without having definite proof. It's like thinking your sibling ate your cookie, even though you didn't see them do it. Suspicion involves a degree of uncertainty and conjecture. Unlike knowledge, which is based on facts, suspicion is based on hunches or circumstantial evidence. Suspicion may trigger further investigation to confirm or dispel it.
