Tamus communis, also known as black bryony, is a climbing vine with heart-shaped leaves and poisonous berries. It's not a true bryony, despite the common name. This plant is found in hedgerows and woodlands across Europe. It has separate male and female plants. The berries turn bright red in autumn, adding a splash of color. However, don't be fooled by their appearance – they are toxic! Think of it as nature's 'do not touch' sign.
