Definition
Teres minor is a small muscle located in the shoulder. It's one of the four rotator cuff muscles, attaching from the lateral border of the scapula to the humerus. Think of it as a brake on the shoulder, working to control movement and prevent dislocations. It primarily functions to externally rotate and adduct the arm. This helps with stabilizing the shoulder joint. It's smaller than its "major" counterpart and has a different function.
