Definition
A 'test-tube baby' is a child conceived outside the mother's body through a process called in vitro fertilization (IVF). Itβs like a plant grown in a greenhouse instead of a garden. Unlike natural conception, IVF involves fertilizing an egg with sperm in a laboratory and then implanting it in the mother's uterus. Being a test-tube baby doesn't make a person any different; it simply refers to the way they were conceived. It's like choosing to start a fire with matches instead of rubbing sticks together β the end result is still fire.
