Definition
Tribalism is a way of thinking and behaving where people are more loyal to their own tribe or group than to their friends or country. It's the tendency to form strong in-groups and out-groups, often leading to prejudice and conflict. Imagine cliques in high school, but on a much larger, societal scale. This "us vs. them" mentality can be harmful, especially when it blinds people to common humanity. It often leads to division and hinders cooperation.
