Definition
A "tub gurnard" (*Chelidonichthys lucerna*) is a species of gurnard, a type of fish belonging to the family Triglidae. They are characterized by their large, bony heads and the presence of specialized fin rays used to "walk" along the seafloor. Tub gurnards are typically reddish-brown in color and found in the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. They are often caught as bycatch in fisheries. Their name can bring mental images of them in a tub of water.
