"Ungulata" is a now outdated (but sometimes still used) superorder or clade that historically grouped together mammals known as ungulates, or hoofed mammals. These animals share the characteristic of having hooves. 🐴 Think of them as the original stompers! This group includes animals like horses, cows, deer, and pigs. Ungulates typically have even or odd numbers of toes, each covered by a hoof. While genetic studies have changed exact groupings, they all have hooves!
