Definition
The term 'venae pudendum' refers to the pudendal veins, which are a set of veins draining blood from the external genitalia and perineum (the area between the anus and the genitals). They are essentially a venous network responsible for returning blood from these regions back into the pelvic circulation. There are internal and external pudendal veins. Think of them as tiny rivers 🏞️ collecting water (blood) from a specific area and channeling it back to a larger river system. They play a crucial role in maintaining healthy blood flow in that area.
