California Yew, or Taxus brevifolia var. californica, is an evergreen tree native to California and parts of the Pacific Northwest. It is similar to the Pacific Yew but with some distinct characteristics. Like other yews, it has needle-like leaves and red arils. Think of the California Yew as the stylish cousin of the Pacific Yew. Itβs got all the same great qualities, but with a little extra California flair and a laid-back vibe πΏ. It is a botanical celebrity.
