Ramphastidae is the scientific name for the toucan family. These birds are famous for their large, colorful bills, which are surprisingly lightweight. Toucans live in the tropical forests of Central and South America. They use their bills to reach fruits and other foods that might be otherwise inaccessible. Despite their size, the bills are not very strong and are mainly used for display and reaching food. They're more like oversized, brightly painted utensils than powerful weapons. Think of them as the clowns of the bird world, always making a statement.
